Sahih Muslim, 6314

Rapporté par Aïcha رضي الله عنها : Toutes les épouses du Messager d’Allah ﷺ étaient réunies dans ma chambre pendant sa dernière maladie, aucune n’était absente, quand Fatima, qui marchait comme le Messager d’Allah ﷺ, est arrivée. Il lui a dit : « Bienvenue, ma fille », l’a fait asseoir à sa droite ou à sa gauche, puis lui a parlé en secret et Fatima a pleuré. Ensuite, il lui a encore parlé en secret et elle a ri. Je lui ai demandé : « Pourquoi pleures-tu ? » Elle a répondu : « Je ne révélerai pas le secret du Messager d’Allah ﷺ. » J’ai dit : « Je n’ai jamais vu une telle situation, où la tristesse et la joie sont si proches. » Je lui ai demandé si le Messager d’Allah ﷺ l’avait distinguée pour lui dire quelque chose, et elle a pleuré. Je lui ai demandé ce qu’il avait dit, et elle a répondu : « Je ne révélerai pas les secrets du Messager d’Allah ﷺ. » Quand il est mort, je lui ai encore demandé et elle a dit : « Le Prophète m’a dit : Gabriel me faisait réviser le Coran une fois par an, mais cette année c’était deux fois, alors j’ai compris que ma mort était proche et que je serais la première de sa famille à le rejoindre. Il sera mon précurseur, et cela m’a fait pleurer. Puis il m’a dit en secret : “N’es-tu pas heureuse d’être la reine des femmes croyantes ou la cheffe des femmes de cette communauté ?” Cela m’a fait rire. »

A'isha reported that all the wives of Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) had gathered (in her apartment) during the days of his (Prophet's) last illness and no woman was left behind that Fatima, who walked after the style of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), came there. He welcomed her by saying:You are welcome, my daughter, and made her sit on his right side or on his left side, and then talked something secretly to her and Fatima wept. Then he talked something secretly to her and she laughed. I said to her: What makes you weep? She said: I am not going to divulge the secret of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). I (`A'isha) said: I have not seen (anything happening) like today, the happiness being more close to grief (as I see today) when she wept. I said to her: Has Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) singled you out for saying something leaving us aside? She then wept and I asked her what he said, and she said: I am not going to divulge the secrets of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). And when he died I again asked her and she said that he (the Holy Prophet) told her: Gabriel used to recite the Qur'an to me once a year and for this year it was twice and so I perceived that my death had drawn near, and that I (Fatima) would be the first amongst the members of his family who would meet him (in the Hereafter). He shall be my good forerunner and it made me weep. He again talked to me secretly (saying): Aren't you pleased that you should be the sovereign amongst the believing women or the head of women of this Ummah? And this made me laugh
