Sahih Muslim, 4285

Rapporté par Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه : (Sayyiduna) Soulayman avait soixante épouses. Un jour, il a dit : « Je vais rendre visite à chacune d’elles cette nuit, et chacune tombera enceinte et donnera naissance à un garçon qui sera cavalier et combattra pour la cause d’Allah. » Mais aucune d’elles ne tomba enceinte sauf une seule, et elle donna naissance à un enfant incomplet. Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dit alors : « S’il avait dit “Insha’ Allah” (si Allah le veut), chacune d’elles aurait donné naissance à un enfant qui serait devenu cavalier et aurait combattu pour la cause d’Allah. »

Abu Huraira reported that (Hadrat) Sulaiman had sixty wives. He (one day) said:I will visit each one of them every night, and every one of them will become pregnant and give birth to a male child who will be a horseman and fight in the cause of Allah. But (it so happened) that none of them became pregnant except one, but she gave birth to an incomplete child. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Had he said Insha' Allah (if God so wills), then every one of them would have given birth to a child who would have been a horseman and fought in the cause of Allah
