Sunan Abi Dawud, 5271

Rapporté par Umm Atiyyah al-Ansariyyah رضي الله عنها : Une femme pratiquait la circoncision à Médine. Le Prophète ﷺ lui a dit : « Ne coupe pas trop, c’est meilleur pour la femme et plus apprécié par le mari. » Abu Dawud a dit : Ce hadith a été transmis par ‘Ubaid Allah ibn ‘Amr de la même manière par une autre chaîne. Abu Dawud a ajouté : Ce n’est pas un hadith solide. Il a été transmis sous forme mursal (sans mention du Compagnon). Abu Dawud a aussi dit : Muhammad ibn Hasan est peu connu, et ce hadith est faible

Narrated Umm Atiyyah al-Ansariyyah: A woman used to perform circumcision in Medina. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to her: Do not cut severely as that is better for a woman and more desirable for a husband. Abu Dawud said: It has been transmitted by 'Ubaid Allah b. 'Amr from 'Abd al-Malik to the same effect through a different chain. Abu Dawud said: It is not a strong tradition. It has been transmitted in mursal form (missing the link of the Companions) Abu Dawud said: Muhammad b. Hasan is obscure, and this tradition is weak
