Sunan Abi Dawud, 3202

Rapporté par Wathilah ibn al-Asqa’ : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dirigé la prière sur le cercueil d’un musulman et je l’ai entendu dire : « Ô Allah, un tel, fils d’un tel, est sous Ta protection, alors protège-le de l’épreuve dans la tombe. » (Dans la version d’AbdurRahman, il a dit : « Sous Ta protection et en Ta présence rapprochée, alors protège-le de l’épreuve dans la tombe ») « et du châtiment de l’Enfer. Tu es fidèle et digne de louange. Ô Allah, pardonne-lui et fais-lui miséricorde. Tu es le Pardonneur et le Miséricordieux. » AbdurRahman a dit : « D’après Marwan ibn Janah. »

Narrated Wathilah ibn al-Asqa': The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) led us in prayer over bier of a Muslim and I heard him say: O Allah, so and so, son of so and so, is in Thy protection, so guard him from the trial in the grave. (AbdurRahman in his version said: "In Thy protection and in Thy nearer presence, so guard him from the trial in the grave) and the punishment in Hell. Thou art faithful and worthy of praise. O Allah, forgive him and show him mercy. Thou art the forgiving and the merciful one." AbdurRahman said: "On the authority of Marwan ibn Janah
