The Book of Fasting

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ تَقَدَّمُوا الشَّهْرَ حَتَّى تَرَوُا الْهِلاَلَ قَبْلَهُ أَوْ تُكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ ثُمَّ صُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوُا الْهِلاَلَ أَوْ تُكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ قَبْلَهُ " .
It was narrated from Ribii bin Hirash, from Hudhaifah bin Al-Yaman, that the Messenger of Allah said:"Do not anticipate the month until you see the crescent before it, or you complete the number of days. Then fast until you see the new moon, or you complete the number of daysRapporté par Ribii bin Hirash, d’après Hudhaifah bin Al-Yaman : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « N’anticipez pas le mois avant d’avoir vu le croissant qui le précède, ou d’avoir complété le nombre de jours. Puis jeûnez jusqu’à ce que vous voyiez la nouvelle lune, ou que vous complétiez le nombre de jours. »Grades given by scholars
