Sunan Ibn Majah, 3907

It was narrated from Abu ‘Ubaidullah Muslim bin Mishkam, that ‘Awf bin Malik narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:“Dreams are of three types: Some are terrifying things from Satan, aimed at causing grief to the son of Adam; some are things that a person is concerned with when he is awake, so he sees them in his dreams; and some are a part of the forty-six parts of prophecy.” He said: “I said to him: ‘Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)?’ He said: ‘Yes, I heard it from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), I heard it from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).’”

Rapporté par Abu ‘Ubaidullah Muslim bin Mishkam, d’après ‘Awf bin Malik : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : “Les rêves sont de trois types : certains sont des choses effrayantes venant de Satan pour attrister le fils d’Adam ; certains sont des choses auxquelles la personne pense en étant éveillée et qu’elle revoit en rêve ; et certains font partie des quarante-six parties de la prophétie.” Il a dit : “Je lui ai demandé : ‘As-tu entendu cela du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ?’ Il a répondu : ‘Oui, je l’ai entendu du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ), je l’ai entendu du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ).’”
