Sunan Abi Dawud, 154

Abu Zur’ah b. ‘Amr b. Jarir said :Jarir urinated. He then performed ablution and wiped over the socks. He said: What can prevent me from wiping (over the socks); I saw the Messenger of Allah (doing so). They (the people) said: This (action of yours) might be valid before the revelation of Surat al-Ma’idah. He replied: I embraced Islam after the revelation of Surat al-Ma’idah

Abu Zur’ah b. ‘Amr b. Jarir a dit : Jarir a uriné. Il a ensuite fait ses ablutions et a essuyé ses chaussettes. Il a dit : « Qu’est-ce qui m’empêcherait d’essuyer dessus ? J’ai vu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ le faire. » Les gens ont dit : « Cet acte était peut-être valable avant la révélation de la sourate al-Ma’idah. » Il a répondu : « Je me suis converti après la révélation de la sourate al-Ma’idah. »
