حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَفْصِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ - سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ يَسْأَلُ بِلاَلاً عَنْ وُضُوءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ كَانَ يَخْرُجُ يَقْضِي حَاجَتَهُ فَآتِيهِ بِالْمَاءِ فَيَتَوَضَّأُ وَيَمْسَحُ عَلَى عِمَامَتِهِ وَمُوقَيْهِ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ هُوَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَوْلَى بَنِي تَيْمِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ ‏.‏

Abu ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami said that he witnessed ‘Abd al-Rahman b. ‘Awf asking Bilal about the ablution of the Prophet (ﷺ). Bilal said:He went out to relieve himself. Then I brought water for him and he performed ablution, and wiped over his turban and socks

Abu ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami a dit qu’il a vu ‘Abd al-Rahman b. ‘Awf demander à Bilal رضي الله عنه comment le Prophète ﷺ faisait ses ablutions. Bilal a dit : Il est sorti pour ses besoins. Ensuite, j’ai apporté de l’eau et il a fait ses ablutions, essuyant son turban et ses chaussettes
