Sourate Al-Hajj · سُوْرَةُ الْحَجِّ · Juz 17

Q 22:17

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَٱلصَّـٰبِـِٔينَ وَٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ وَٱلْمَجُوسَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدٌ

Traductions

Certes, ceux qui ont cru, les Juifs, les Sabéens [les adorateurs des étoiles], les Nazaréens, les Mages et ceux qui donnent à Allah des associés, Allah tranchera entre eux le jour du Jugement, car Allah est certes témoin de toute chose.

Indeed, those who have believed and those who were Jews and the Sabeans and the Christians and the Magians and those who associated with Allah - Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed Allah is, over all things, Witness.

Tafsir

Le Jour de la Résurrection, Allah jugera entre ceux de cette communauté qui croient en Allah, les juifs, les sabéens (qui sont les disciples d’un certain prophète), les chrétiens, les adorateurs du feu et les adorateurs d’idoles. Il fera alors entrer les croyants au Paradis et les autres en Enfer. Allah atteste de toutes les paroles et de toutes les œuvres de Ses serviteurs. Rien ne Lui en échappe et Il les rétribuera en conséquence.

Allah will judge between the Sects on the Day of Resurrection Allah tells us about the followers of these various religions, the believers (Muslims) and others such as the Jews and Sabians. We have already seen a definition of them in Surat Al-Baqarah and have noted how people differ over who they are. There are also the Christians, Majus and others who worship others alongside Allah. Allah will يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ (judge between them on the Day of Resurrection) with justice; He will admit those who believed in Him to Paradise and will send those who disbelieved in Him to Hell, for He is a Witness over their deeds, and He knows all that they say and all that they do in secret, and conceal in their breast.
