Sunan an-Nasa'i, 5667

Rapporté par Abu Bakr bin 'Abdur-Rahman bin Al-Harith, d'après son père : J'ai entendu 'Uthman dire : "Évitez le Khamr car c'est la mère de tous les vices. Il y avait un homme parmi ceux qui vous ont précédés qui était un adorateur dévoué et qui se tenait à l'écart des gens." Et il a raconté quelque chose de similaire. Il a dit : "Évitez le Khamr car, par Allah, il ne peut jamais coexister avec la foi, mais l'un des deux finira par chasser l'autre

Abu Bakr bin 'Abdur-Rahman bin Al-Harith narrated that his father said:"I heard 'Uthman say: 'Avoid Khamr for it is the mother of all evils. There was a man among those who came before you who was a devoted worshipper and used to stay away from people.'" And he mentioned something similar. He said: "Avoid Khamr for, by Allah, it can never coexist with Faith, but soon one of them will expel the other
