Sunan an-Nasa'i, 460

Rapporté par Awf bin Malik Al-Ashja‘i : Nous étions avec le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) et il a dit : "Ne voulez-vous pas prêter allégeance au Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ?" Il l’a répété trois fois. Alors nous avons tendu la main pour lui prêter allégeance. Nous avons dit : "Ô Messager d’Allah, nous sommes prêts à te prêter allégeance, mais sur quoi ?" Il a dit : "Que vous adoriez Allah sans rien Lui associer, et que vous accomplissiez les cinq prières quotidiennes." Et il a ajouté à voix basse : "Et que vous ne demandiez rien aux gens

Awf bin Malik Al-Ashja'i said:"We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he said: 'Will you not pledge to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)?' And he repeated it three times. So we stretched forth our hands to give our pledge. We said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we are willing to give you our pledge, but on what?' He said: 'That you will worship Allah and not associate anything with him, and (offer) the five daily prayers.' And he said, very quietly: 'And you will not ask the people for anything
