The Book of al-Bay'ah

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَدَّتِي، تَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ ‏ "‏ وَلَوِ اسْتُعْمِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ حَبَشِيٌّ يَقُودُكُمْ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَاسْمَعُوا لَهُ وَأَطِيعُوا ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Rapporté par Yahya bin Husain : J’ai entendu ma grand-mère dire : « J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dire, lors du pèlerinage d’adieu : Si un esclave éthiopien est nommé sur vous et qu’il gouverne selon le Livre d’Allah, alors écoutez-le et obéissez-lui. »
