The Book of al-Bay'ah

أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ بَايَعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ فَلَقَّنَنِي " فِيمَا اسْتَطَعْتَ وَالنُّصْحِ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ " .
Rapporté par Jarir bin ‘Abdullah : J’ai donné mon engagement au Prophète ﷺ d’écouter et d’obéir, et il m’a dit d’ajouter : « Autant que tu peux, et sois sincère envers chaque musulman. »It was narrated that Jarir bin 'Abdullah said:"I gave my pledge to the Prophet to hear and obey, and he told me to add the words.'
