Rapporté par 'Ubaidullah bin 'Abdullah : 'Abdullah bin 'Utbah a écrit à 'Umar bin 'Abdullah bin Al-Arqam Az-Zuhri pour lui dire : "Va voir Subai'ah bint Al-Harith Al-Aslamiyyah et demande-lui ce que le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a jugé concernant sa grossesse." Il a dit : "'Umar bin 'Abdullah est allé la voir et l’a interrogée. Elle lui a raconté qu’elle était mariée à Sa'd bin Khawlah, un Compagnon du Messager d’Allah ﷺ qui avait assisté à Badr. Il est mort pendant le Pèlerinage d’Adieu, et elle a accouché avant que quatre mois et dix jours ne soient passés depuis la mort de son mari. À la fin de sa période de Nifas, Abu As-Sanabil – un homme de Banu 'Abd Ad-Dar – est venu la voir et a vu qu’elle s’était parée. It was narrated from 'Ubaidullah bin 'Abdullah that 'Abdullah bin 'Utbah wrote to 'Umar bin 'Abdullah bin Al-Arqam Az-Zuhri, telling him:"Go to Subai'ah bint Al-Harith Al-Aslamiyyah, and ask her about the ruling of the Messenger of Allah concerning her pregnancy."
