Sunan an-Nasa'i, 3449

Rapporté par 'Aishah : J'ai acheté Barirah et ses maîtres ont exigé que son Wala' leur revienne. J'en ai parlé au Prophète ﷺ et il a dit : "Affranchis-la, et Al-Wala' revient à celui qui paie l'argent." Je l'ai donc affranchie et le Messager d'Allah ﷺ l'a appelée et lui a donné le choix concernant son mari. Elle a dit : "Même si tu me donnais telle ou telle chose, je ne resterais pas avec lui", alors elle a choisi sa liberté et son mari était un homme libre

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:"I bought Barirah and her masters stipulated that her Wala' should go to them. I mentioned that to the Prophet and he said: 'Set her free, and Al-Wala' is to the one who pays the silver.' So I set her free and the Messenger of Allah called her and gave her the choice concerning her husband. She said: 'Even if you gave me such and such, I would not stay with him,' so she chose herself and her husband was a free man
