أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ، أَنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ شَيْبَانَ، قَالَ كُنَّا وُقُوفًا بِعَرَفَةَ مَكَانًا بَعِيدًا مِنَ الْمَوْقِفِ فَأَتَانَا ابْنُ مِرْبَعٍ الأَنْصَارِيُّ فَقَالَ إِنِّي رَسُولُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَيْكُمْ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ كُونُوا عَلَى مَشَاعِرِكُمْ فَإِنَّكُمْ عَلَى إِرْثٍ مِنْ إِرْثِ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Rapporté par Amr bin Abdullah bin Safwan, d'après Yazid bin Shaiban : Nous étions à Arafat, à un endroit éloigné du lieu de station, et Ibn Mirba Al-Ansari est venu et a dit : "Je suis le messager du Messager d'Allah ﷺ pour vous ; il dit : 'Restez où vous êtes (car c'est un lieu de rite), car vous suivez la tradition de votre père Ibrahim, paix sur lui

It was narrated from Amr bin Abdullah bin Safwan that Yazid bin Shaiban said:"We were standing in Arafat in a place far from the place of standing, and Ibn Mirba Al-Ansari came and said: 'I am the messenger of Messenger of Allah to you; he says: 'Stay where you are (for it is a place of ritual), for you are following the legacy of you father Ibrahim, peace be upon him
