Sunan an-Nasa'i, 2740

Rapporté par Ja`far bin Muhammad : Mon père m’a raconté : « Nous sommes allés voir Jabir bin `Abdullah et nous lui avons demandé comment le Prophète (ﷺ) avait accompli le Hajj. Il nous a dit : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) est resté à Médine pendant neuf ans sans faire le Hajj, puis on a annoncé aux gens que le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) allait accomplir le Hajj cette année-là. Beaucoup de gens sont venus à Médine, tous espérant apprendre du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) et faire comme lui. Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) est parti cinq jours avant la fin de Dhul-Qa`dah, et nous sommes partis avec lui : Jabir a dit : « Et le Messager d’Allah était parmi nous ; le Coran lui était révélé, et il en connaissait le sens. Tout ce qu’il faisait en se basant sur le Coran, nous le faisions aussi, et nous sommes partis avec l’intention unique de faire le Hajj. »

Ja`far bin Muhammad said:"My father told me: 'We came to Jabir bin `Abdullah and asked him about the Hajj of the Prophet (ﷺ). He told us: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stayed in al-Madinah for nine years of Hajj, then it was announced to the people that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was going to perform Hajj this year. Many people came to al-Madinah, all of them hoping to learn from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and to do as he did. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) set out when there were five days left of Dhul-Qa`dah, and we set out with him,: Jabir said; "And the Messenger of Allah was among us; the Qur'an was being revealed to him, and he knew what it meant. Whatever he did based on it (the Qur'an), we did, and we set out with no intention other than Hajj
