أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ تَمَارَيْنَا فِي الْغُسْلِ عِنْدَ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ جَابِرٌ يَكْفِي مِنَ الْغُسْلِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ صَاعٌ مِنْ مَاءٍ ‏.‏ قُلْنَا مَا يَكْفِي صَاعٌ وَلاَ صَاعَانِ ‏.‏ قَالَ جَابِرٌ قَدْ كَانَ يَكْفِي مَنْ كَانَ خَيْرًا مِنْكُمْ وَأَكْثَرَ شَعْرًا ‏.‏

Rapporté par Abu Ja'far : Nous avons discuté du Ghusl en présence de Jabir ibn 'Abdullah, et Jabir a dit : "Un Sa' d'eau suffit pour le Ghusl après une souillure majeure." Nous avons dit : "Un Sa' ne suffit pas, ni même deux." Jabir a répondu : "Cela suffisait à quelqu'un de meilleur que vous et qui avait plus de cheveux
