Sunan an-Nasa'i, 2069

Rapporté par Ibn 'Abbas : Le Messager d’Allah est passé devant deux tombes et a dit : "Ils sont punis, mais pas pour quelque chose de difficile à éviter. L’un d’eux ne faisait pas attention à éviter que de l’urine ne touche son corps ou ses vêtements, et l’autre colportait des rumeurs." Ensuite, il a pris une branche de palmier fraîche, l’a cassée en deux et a planté une moitié sur chaque tombe. Ils ont demandé : "Ô Messager d’Allah, pourquoi as-tu fait cela ?" Il a répondu : "Que leur châtiment soit allégé tant que cela ne sèche pas

It was narrated that Ibn ' Abbas said:"The Messenger of Allah passed by two graves and said: "They are being punished but they are not being punished for anything that was difficult to avoid. One of them used not to take care to avoid getting urine on his body or clothes, and the other used to walk about spreading gossip.' Then he took a fresh palm stalk and broke it in half, and planted one half on each grave. They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, why did not do that?'
