The Book of Funerals

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ، سَمِعْتُ حُمَيْدَ بْنَ هِلاَلٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ ‏:‏ لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ أُحُدٍ أُصِيبَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، وَأَصَابَ النَّاسَ جِرَاحَاتٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏ ‏ "‏ احْفِرُوا وَأَوْسِعُوا، وَادْفِنُوا الاِثْنَيْنِ وَالثَّلاَثَةَ فِي الْقَبْرِ، وَقَدِّمُوا أَكْثَرَهُمْ قُرْآنًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Rapporté par Sa'eed bin Hisham bin 'Amir, d'après son père : Le jour de Uhud, certains musulmans ont été tués et d'autres blessés. Le Messager d'Allah a dit : "Creusez des tombes larges, et enterrez deux ou trois personnes dans une même tombe, en mettant en premier celui qui connaissait le plus de Coran
