Sunan an-Nasa'i, 1515

Rapporté par Anas bin Malik : Alors que nous étions à la mosquée un vendredi et que le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) s’adressait aux gens, un homme s’est levé et a dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, les routes sont coupées, nos biens sont détruits et les prix ont augmenté. Prie Allah (SWT) pour qu’Il nous donne la pluie. » Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a alors levé les mains à la hauteur de son visage et a dit : « Ô Allah, donne-nous la pluie. » Par Allah (SWT), le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) n’était pas encore descendu du minbar qu’il s’est mis à pleuvoir, et il a plu de ce jour-là jusqu’au vendredi suivant. Puis un homme s’est levé – je ne sais pas si c’était le même qui avait demandé au Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) de prier pour la pluie ou non – et a dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, les routes sont coupées et nos biens sont détruits à cause de trop d’eau. Prie Allah (SWT) pour qu’Il arrête la pluie pour nous. » Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : « Ô Allah, autour de nous et non sur nous, mais plutôt sur les montagnes et là où poussent les arbres. » Par Allah, à peine le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) avait-il prononcé ces mots que les nuages se sont dispersés jusqu’à ce que nous n’en voyions plus

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that he said:"While we were in the masjid on Friday and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was addressing the people, a man stood up and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the routes have been cut off, our wealth has been destroyed and prices have gone up. Pray to Allah (SWT) to give us rain.' So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) raised his hands in level with his face and said: 'O Allah, give us rain.' By Allah (SWT), the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had not come down from the minbar before it started to pour with rain, and it rained from that day until the following Friday. Then a man stood up- I do not know if he was the same man who had asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to pray for rain for us or not- and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the routes have been cut off, and our wealth has been destroyed because there is too much water. Pray to Allah (SWT ) to stop the rain for us.' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'O Allah, around us and not on us, rather on the mountains and places where trees grow.' By Allah, hardly had the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) spoken these words than the clouds split apart (and vanished) until we could not see anything of them
