حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، وَالْحُلْوَانِيُّ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ عَبَّادٍ قَالَ الْمُغِيرَةُ فَأَرَدْتُ تَأْخِيرَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ دَعْهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Rapporté par Hamza ibn Mughira رضي الله عنه par une autre chaîne de transmetteurs (avec en plus ces mots) : J’ai voulu retenir Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, mais le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Laisse-le. »
