Sahih Muslim, 6614

Rapporté par Aïsha رضي الله عنها : Deux personnes sont venues voir le Messager d’Allah ﷺ et ont parlé d’un sujet que j’ignore, mais cela l’a contrarié et il a invoqué la malédiction contre eux. Quand ils sont partis, j’ai dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, le bien atteindra tout le monde sauf ces deux-là. » Il demanda : « Pourquoi ? » Je répondis : « Parce que tu as invoqué la malédiction contre eux. » Il dit : « Ne sais-tu pas que j’ai posé une condition à mon Seigneur en disant : Ô Allah, je suis un être humain, et si je maudis ou insulte un musulman, fais que cela soit pour lui une purification et une récompense. »

A'isha reported that two persons visited Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and both of them talked about a thing, of which I am not aware, but that annoyed him and he invoked curse upon both of them and hurled malediction, and when they went out I said:Allah's Messenger, the good would reach everyone but it would not reach these two. He said: Why so? I said: Because you have invoked curse and hurled malediction upon both of them. He said: Don't you know that I have made condition with my Lord saying thus: O Allah, I am a human being and that for a Muslim upon whom I invoke curse or hurl malediction make it a source of purity and reward
