The Book of the Merits of the Companions
حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ، ح وَحَدَّثَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ، سَعِيدٍ الأَيْلِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ عِمْرَانَ التُّجِيبِيُّ - عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، بْنِ شُمَاسَةَ الْمَهْرِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ، يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّكُمْ سَتَفْتَحُونَ أَرْضًا يُذْكَرُ فِيهَا الْقِيرَاطُ فَاسْتَوْصُوا بِأَهْلِهَا خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ لَهُمْ ذِمَّةً وَرَحِمًا فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلاَنِ فِي مَوْضِعِ لَبِنَةٍ فَاخْرُجْ مِنْهَا " . قَالَ فَمَرَّ بِرَبِيعَةَ وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ابْنَىْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ حَسَنَةَ يَتَنَازَعَانِ فِي مَوْضِعِ لَبِنَةٍ فَخَرَجَ مِنْهَا .
Rapporté par Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Vous allez bientôt conquérir une terre où les gens ont l’habitude de parler grossièrement. Ils ont un lien de parenté avec vous. Et quand vous verrez deux personnes se disputer pour un morceau de brique, éloignez-vous de là. » Abu Dharr est ensuite passé près de Rabila et Abd al-Rahman, les deux fils de Shurahbil b. Hasana, qui se disputaient pour un morceau de brique. Il a alors quitté cette terreAbu Dharr reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:You would soon conquer a land where people are in the habit of using foul language. They have a right of kinship upon you. And when you see two persons fighting for the space of a brick, then get out of that. He (Abu Dharr) then happened to pass by Rabila and 'Abd al-Rahman, the two sons of Shurahbil b. Hasana, and they had been disputing for the space of a brick.
