Sahih Muslim, 6330

Rapporté par Abu Ahwas : Nous étions chez Abu Musa avec certains compagnons d’Abdullah et ils regardaient le Livre sacré. Abdullah s’est levé, et Abu Mas’ud a dit : « Je ne sais pas si le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a laissé après lui quelqu’un qui ait une meilleure connaissance (de l’islam) que cet homme qui se lève. » Abu Musa a dit : « Si tu dis cela, c’est vrai, car il était présent quand nous étions absents et il a été autorisé alors que nous étions retenus. »

Abu Ahwas reported:We were in the house of Abu Musa along with some of the companions of 'Abdullah and they were looking at the Holy Book. 'Abdullah stood up, whereupon Abu Mas'ud said: I do not know whether Allah's Messenger, (ﷺ) has left after him one having a better knowledge (of Islam) than the man who is standing. Abu Musa said: If you say this, that is correct, because he had been present when we had been absent and he was permitted when we were detained
