Rapporté par Urwa ibn al Mughira ibn Shu'ba, d’après son père : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ est resté en arrière lors d’un voyage, et je suis resté avec lui. Après s’être soulagé, il a dit : « As-tu de l’eau avec toi ? » Je lui ai apporté un récipient d’eau ; il s’est lavé les paumes et le visage, puis, en voulant sortir ses avant-bras, il n’a pas pu à cause de la manche serrée de son vêtement. Il les a donc sortis par-dessous, a posé le vêtement sur ses épaules, puis s’est lavé l’avant-bras. Ensuite, il a essuyé le devant de sa tête, son turban et ses chaussettes. Il est alors monté sur sa monture, et moi aussi, puis nous avons rejoint les gens. Ils avaient commencé la prière avec ‘Abd ar-Rahman ibn ‘Awf comme imam et avaient déjà terminé une unité. Quand il a vu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ arriver, il a voulu reculer, mais le Prophète ﷺ lui a fait signe de continuer et a prié avec eux. Quand ils ont terminé la prière, le Prophète ﷺ s’est levé, moi aussi, et nous avons accompli l’unité qui avait été faite avant notre arrivée

Urwa b. al Mughira b. Shu'ba reported it on the authority of his father that he said:The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) lagged behind (in a journey) and I also lagged behind along with him. After having relieved himself he said: Have you any water with you? I brought to him a jar of water; he washed his palms, and face, and when he tried to get his forearms out (he could not) for the sleeve of the gown was tight. He, therefore, brought them out from under the gown and, throwing it over his shoulders, he washed his forearm. He then wiped his forelock and his turban and his socks. He then mounted and I also mounted (the ride) and came to the people. They had begun the prayer with 'Abd ar-Rabmin b. 'Anf leading them and had completed a rak'a. When he perceived the presence of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) he began to retire. He (the Holy Prophet) signed to him to continue and offered prayer along with them. Then when he had pronounced the salutation, the Apostle (ﷺ) got up and I also got up with him, and we offered the rak'a which had been finished before we came
