Sahih Muslim, 531

Rapporté par Abdullah b. Mas'ud رضي الله عنه : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ nous adressa la parole, puis s’appuya contre une tente en cuir et dit : « Sachez qu’aucune personne autre qu’un croyant n’entrera au Paradis. Ô Allah, ai-je transmis (le message) ? Ô Allah, sois témoin (que j’ai transmis). » Puis, s’adressant aux compagnons, il dit : « N’aimeriez-vous pas être le quart des habitants du Paradis ? » Nous avons dit : « Oui, ô Messager d’Allah. » Il dit encore : « N’aimeriez-vous pas être le tiers des habitants du Paradis ? » Ils dirent : « Oui, ô Messager d’Allah. » Il dit : « J’espère que vous serez la moitié des habitants du Paradis, et vous serez parmi les peuples du monde comme un poil noir sur le corps d’un bœuf blanc ou un poil blanc sur le corps d’un bœuf noir. »

Abdullah b Mas'ud reported:The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) addressed us and then supported his back (by reclining) against a leather tent and said: Behold, no one but a believing person would enter Paradise. O Allah, (see) have I conveyed (it not)? 0 Allah, be witness (to it that I have conveyed it). (Then addressing the companions) he said: Don't you like that you should constitute one-fourth of the inhabitants of Paradise? We said: Yes, Messenger of Allah. He again said: Don't you like that you should constitute one-third of the inhabitants of Paradise? They said: Yes, Messenger of Allah. He said: I hope that you would constitute one- half of the inhabitants of Paradise and you would be among the peoples of the world, like a black hair on (the body of) a white ox or like a white hair on the body of a black ox
