Sahih Muslim, 3748

Rapporté par Ibn ‘Umar رضي الله عنهما : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit à ceux qui invoquaient la malédiction : « Votre affaire est entre les mains d’Allah. L’un de vous est forcément un menteur. Désormais, vous n’avez plus aucun droit sur cette femme. » L’homme demanda : « Ô Messager d’Allah, qu’en est-il de ma dot (que je lui ai donnée lors du mariage) ? » Il répondit : « Tu n’as aucun droit sur la dot. Si tu dis la vérité, la dot est la contrepartie du droit que tu avais sur elle. Et si tu as menti contre elle, elle t’est encore plus éloignée qu’elle-même. » Zuhair a dit dans son récit : Sufyan nous a rapporté d’après ‘Amr qu’il avait entendu Sa‘id ibn Jubair dire : « J’ai entendu Ibn ‘Umar رضي الله عنهما dire que le Messager d’Allah ﷺ avait dit cela. »

Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying to the invokers of curse:Your account is with Allah. One of you must be a liar. You have now no right over this woman. He said: Messenger of Allah, what about my wealth (dower that I paid her at the time of marriage)? He said: You have no claim to wealth. If you tell the truth, it (dower) is the recompense for your having had the right to intercourse with her, and if you tell a lie against her, it is still more remote from you than she is. Zuhair said in his narration: Sufyan reported to us on the authority of 'Amr that he had heard Sa'id b Jubair saying: I heard Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them) saying that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had said it
