Sahih Muslim, 3586

Rapporté par Umm Habiba, fille d’Abu Sufyan رضي الله عنها : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ est venu me voir et je lui ai dit : « As-tu envie d’épouser la fille d’Abu Sufyan ? » Il a dit : « Et que devrais-je faire ? » J’ai dit : « Épouse-la. » Il a dit : « Tu veux cela ? » J’ai répondu : « Je ne suis pas ta seule épouse ; je souhaite donc associer ma sœur à ce bien. » Il a dit : « Elle ne m’est pas permise. » J’ai dit : « On m’a dit que tu as demandé la main de Durrah, la fille d’Abu Salama. » Il a dit : « Tu veux dire la fille d’Umm Salama ? » J’ai dit : « Oui. » Il a dit : « Même si elle n’était pas ma belle-fille élevée sous ma tutelle, elle ne m’aurait pas été permise, car elle est la fille de mon frère de lait (Hamza). Thuwaiba m’a allaité ainsi que son père. Donc, ne me proposez pas vos filles et sœurs en mariage. »

Umm Habiba, the daughter of AbuSufyan, reported:The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to me and I said to him: Have you any inclination towards my the daughter of Abu Sufyan? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Then what should I do? I said: Marry her. He said: Do you like that? I said: I am not the exclusive (wife) of yours; I, therefore, wish to join my sister in good. He, said: She is not lawful for me. I said: I have been informed that you have given the proposal of marriage to Durrah daughter of Abu Salama He raid: You mean the daughter of Umm Salama? I said: Yes. He said: Even if she had not been my step-daughter brought up under my guardianship, she would not have been lawful for me, for she is the daughter of my foster-brother (Hamza), for Thuwaiba had suckled me and her father. So do not give me the proposal of the marriage of your daughters and sisters
