The Book of Marriage

وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْغُبَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ، تَزَوَّجَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى وَزْنِ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ أَوْلِمْ وَلَوْ بِشَاةٍ ‏"‏

Rapporté par Anas b. Malik رضي الله عنه : ‘Abd al-Rahman b. ‘Auf رضي الله عنه s’est marié du vivant du Messager d’Allah ﷺ pour un poids de noyau de datte en or, et le Messager d’Allah ﷺ lui a dit : « Fais un repas de mariage, même avec un mouton. »
