Sahih Muslim, 3387

Rapporté par Abu Salama b. Abd al-Rahman : ‘Abd al-Rahman b. Abu Sa’id al-Khudri رضي الله عنه est passé près de moi et je lui ai demandé : Comment as-tu entendu ton père parler de la mosquée fondée sur la piété ? Il a répondu : Mon père a dit : Je suis allé voir le Messager d’Allah ﷺ alors qu’il était dans la maison de l’une de ses femmes et j’ai demandé : « Ô Messager d’Allah, laquelle des deux mosquées est fondée sur la piété ? » Il a alors pris une poignée de petits cailloux et les a jetés sur le sol en disant : « C’est bien cette mosquée à vous (la mosquée de Médine). » Le narrateur a dit : Je témoigne avoir entendu ton père en parler

Abu Salama b. Abd al-Rabman reported:'Abd al-Rabman b. Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (Allah be pleased with him) happened to pass by me and I said to him. How did you hear your father making mention of the mosque founded on Piety? He said: My father said: I went to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as he was in the house of one of his wives, and said: Messenger of Allah, which of the two mosques is founded on piety? Thereupon he took a handful of pebbles and threw them on the ground and then said: This is the very mosque of yours (mosque at Medina). He (the narrator) said: I bear witness that I heard your father making mention of it
