Sahih Muslim, 2744

Rapporté par Mu’âdha al-‘Adawiyya : Elle a demandé à Aïcha, l’épouse du Messager d’Allah ﷺ, si le Messager d’Allah ﷺ jeûnait trois jours chaque mois. Elle a répondu : « Oui. » J’ai demandé : « Quels jours du mois choisissait-il pour jeûner ? » Elle a répondu : « Il n’était pas précis sur les jours du mois pour jeûner. »

Mu'adha al-'Adawiyya reported that she asked 'A'isha, the wife of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), whether the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed fasts for three days during every month. She said:Yes I said to her: Which were (the particular) days of the month on which he observed fast? She said: He was not particular about the days of the month on which to observe fast
