Sahih Muslim, 1913

Rapporté par Abu Wa'il : Un homme vint voir Abdullah b. Mas'ud et dit : « J’ai récité toutes les sourates mufassal en une seule rak'a pendant la nuit. » Abdullah répondit : « Tu as dû les réciter rapidement, comme de la poésie. » Il ajouta : « Je me souviens bien de la façon dont le Messager d’Allah ﷺ les associait, et il mentionna alors vingt sourates mufassal, deux à chaque rak'a. »

Abu Wa'il reported:A person came to 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud and said: I recited all the mufassal surahs in one rak'ah during the night. 'Abdullah said: You must have recited hastily like the recitation of poetry. 'Abdullah said: I remember well the manner in which the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to combine them, and he then mentioned twenty of the mufassal surahs, and (their combinations in) two in every rak'ah
