Sahih Muslim, 1785

Rapporté par Zirr ibn Hubaish رضي الله عنه : J’ai entendu Ubayy ibn Ka’b dire à propos d’une parole d’Abdullah ibn Mas’ud : « Celui qui se lève pour prier chaque nuit de l’année finira par tomber sur la nuit du destin (Lailat-ul-Qadr). » Ubayy a dit : « Par Allah, il n’y a de dieu que Lui, cette nuit est pendant le Ramadan. » Il a juré sans hésiter : « Par Allah, je connais cette nuit ; c’est la nuit où le Messager d’Allah ﷺ nous a ordonné de prier. C’est la nuit qui précède le matin du vingt-septième jour, et son signe est que le soleil se lève ce jour-là sans rayons. »

Zirr (b. Hubaish) reported:I heard from Ubayy b. Ka'b a statement made by 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud in which he said: He who gets up for prayer (every night) during the year will hit upon Lailat-ul-Qadr. Ubayy said: By Allah I there is no god but He, that (Lailat-ul-Qadr) is in Ramadhan (He swore without reservation: ) By Allah, I know the night; it is the night on which the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded us to pray. It is that which precedes the morning of twenty-seventy and its indication is that the sun rises bright on that day without rays
