Sahih Muslim, 1430

Rapporté par Jabir ibn Abdullah رضي الله عنه : Omar ibn al-Khattab رضي الله عنه maudissait les polythéistes de Quraysh le jour de la bataille du Fossé. Il est venu voir le Prophète ﷺ et a dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, par Allah, je n’ai pas pu faire la prière de l’Asr jusqu’au coucher du soleil. » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a répondu : « Par Allah, moi non plus, je ne l’ai pas accomplie. » Alors, nous sommes allés dans une vallée, le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a fait ses ablutions et nous aussi, puis il a accompli la prière de l’Asr après le coucher du soleil, puis il a fait la prière du Maghrib juste après

Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported that Umar b. al-Khattab had been cursing the pagans of the Quraish an the day (of the Battle) of Khandaq (Ditch). (He came to the Holy Prophet) and said:Messenger of Allah, by God, I could not say. the 'Asr prayer till the sun set. Upon this the Messenger (ﷺ) said: By Allah I, too, have not observed it. So we went to a valley. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed ablution and we too performed ablution, and then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said the 'Asr prayer after the sun had set. and then said the evening prayer after it
