Al-Muwatta de Malik, 264

Abdallah Ibn Abbas a rapporté qu'il a passé une nuit chez sa tante Maimouna, la femme du Prophète (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah). Il dit: «Je m'étendais au milieu du coussin (il s'agit du matelas) tandis que l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) et sa femme s'étendaient au sens de la longueur. L'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) s'endormit jusqu'à minuit; un peu avant ou un peu après minuit, il se réveilla, s'assit en se frottant le visage afin de bien se réveiller; il récita les dix derniers versets de la sourate «La Famille de Imran», puis il se leva pour se servir de l'eau contenue dans une outre accrochée et faire parfaitement ses ablutions, ensuite il pria. Ibn Abbas ajouta: «Je me levai pour faire pareillement, puis je me tins à côté de l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) qui mit sa main droite sur ma tête, me prit l'oreille droite en la frottant. Il fit une prière de deux raka'ts, puis de deux autres, puis de deux autres, puis de deux autres, puis de deux autres, puis de deux autres ensuite une raka't impaire. Après cela, il s'étendit jusqu'à ce que le muezzin vint le retrouver, il se leva pour faire deux raka'ts légères, ensuite il se rendit à la mosquée pour faire la prière de l'aurore»

Yahya related to me from Malik from Makhrama ibn Sulayman from Kurayb, the mawla of Ibn Abbas, that Abdullah ibn Abbas told him that he had spent a night at the house of Maimuna, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who was also Ibn Abbas' mother's sister. Ibn Abbas said, "I lay down with my head on the breadth of the cushion, and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and his wife lay down with their heads on its length. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, slept, until, halfway through the night or a little before or after it, he awoke and sat up and wiped the sleep away from his face with his hand. Then he recited the last ten ayats of sura Ali Imran (Sura3). Then he got up and went over to a water-skin which was hanging up and did wudu from it, doing his wudu thoroughly, and then he stood in prayer." Ibn Abbas continued, "I stood up and did the same and then went and stood by his side. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, put his right hand on my head and took my right ear and tweaked it. He prayed two rakas, then two rakas, then two rakas, then two rakas, then two rakas, then two rakas, and then prayed an odd raka. Then he lay down until the muadhdhin came to him, and then prayed two quick rakas, and went out and prayed subh
