Al-Muwatta de Malik, 1736

Ata Ibn Yassar a rapporté que l'Envoyé d'Allah r (salallahou alayhi wa salam) (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah), était dans la mosquée, un homme y entra, à la tête et à la barbe ébouriffées. L'Envoyé d'Allah r (salallahou alayhi wa salam) (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah), lui fit signe de sortir de sa main, voulant dire par là, qu'il a à récupérer les cheveux de sa tête et de sa barbe; l'homme répondant à cet appel, y revent peigné et l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) lui dit alors: «N'est-il pas mieux à quiconque d'entre vous de se rendre à la mosquée, avec les cheveux peignés, au lieu de les avoir ébouriffés comme s'il était un Satan». Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam that Ata ibn Yasar told him that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was in the mosque when a man came in with dishevelled hair and beard. The Messenger of Allah. may Allah bless him and grant him peace, motioned with his hand that he should be sent out to groom his hair and beard. The man did so and then returned. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Isn't this better than that one of you should come with his head dishevelled, as if he were a shaytan?
