Sunan Ibn Majah, 706

Rapporté par Muhammed bin ‘Abdullah bin Zaid, d’après son père : Le Messager d’Allah pensait à utiliser une corne, puis il a ordonné qu’on fabrique une cloche, ce qui a été fait. Ensuite, ‘Abdullah bin Zaid a fait un rêve. Il a dit : « J’ai vu un homme vêtu de deux habits verts, portant une cloche. Je lui ai dit : “Ô serviteur d’Allah, veux-tu vendre la cloche ?” Il a répondu : “Qu’en feras-tu ?” J’ai dit : “J’appellerai les gens à la prière.” Il a dit : “Veux-tu que je t’indique quelque chose de meilleur ?” J’ai demandé : “Qu’est-ce que c’est ?” Il a dit : “Dis : Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar ; Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah, Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah ; Ash-hadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah, Ash-hadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah ; Hayya ‘alas-salah, Hayya ‘alas-salah ; Hayya ‘alal-falah, Hayya ‘alal-falah ; Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar ; La ilaha illallah.” » ‘Abdullah bin Zaid est allé voir le Messager d’Allah et lui a raconté ce qu’il avait vu. Il a dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, j’ai vu un homme vêtu de deux habits verts portant une cloche », puis il lui a raconté l’histoire. Le Messager d’Allah a dit : « Ton compagnon a fait un rêve. Va à la mosquée avec Bilal et apprends-lui ces paroles, car il a une voix plus forte que la tienne. » (‘Abdullah) est donc allé avec Bilal à la mosquée, il lui a appris les paroles et Bilal les a proclamées. ‘Umar Al-Khattab a entendu la voix et est sorti en disant : « Ô Messager d’Allah ! Par Allah, j’ai vu la même chose en rêve. » (Hasan) Abu ‘Ubaid a dit : « Abu Bakr Al-Hakami m’a raconté que ‘Abdullah bin Zaid Al-Ansari a dit à ce sujet : “Je loue Allah, le Détenteur de majesté et d’honneur, beaucoup de louanges pour l’Adhan. Depuis que cette nouvelle m’est venue d’Allah, j’en ai été honoré. Pendant trois nuits, chacune m’a apporté plus d’honneur.” »

It was narrated from Muhammed bin 'Abdullah bin Zaid that his father said that:The Messenger of Allah was thinking of a horn, and he commanded that a bell be made and it was done. Then 'Abdullah bin Zaid had a dream. He said: "I saw a man wearing two green garments, carrying a bell. I said to him, 'O slave of Allah, will you sell the bell?' He said; 'What will you do with it?' I said, 'I will call (the people) to prayer.' He said, 'Shall I not tell you of something better than that?'
