Sunan Ibn Majah, 572

Rapporté par ‘Ata’ bin Abu Rabah : J’ai entendu Ibn ‘Abbas dire qu’un homme a été blessé à la tête à l’époque du Messager d’Allah, puis il a eu un rêve humide. On lui a dit de se laver, alors il l’a fait, est devenu raide et est mort. Quand le Messager d’Allah l’a appris, il a dit : "Ils l’ont tué, qu’Allah les tue ! Le remède à l’ignorance n’est-il pas de poser des questions ?" ‘Ata’ a dit : "Nous avons entendu que le Messager d’Allah a dit : 'S’il avait lavé son corps et laissé sa tête là où était la blessure

It was narrated that 'Ata' bin Abu Rabah said:"I heard Ibn 'Abbas saying that a man was injured in the head at the time of the Messenger of Allah, then he had a wet dream. He was told to have a bath, so he took the bath, became rigid and stiff, and died. News of that reached the Messenger of Allah and he said: 'They have killed him, may Allah kill them! Is not the cure for a lack of knowledge to ask questions?'"'Ata' said: "We heard that the Messenger of Allah said: 'If only he had washed his body and left his head alone where the wound was
