Sunan Ibn Majah, 4262

Rapporté par Abu Hurairah : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : “Des anges viennent auprès de la personne mourante. Si c’est un homme pieux, ils disent : ‘Sors, ô âme bonne qui était dans un bon corps, sors louée et reçois la bonne nouvelle de la miséricorde, d’un parfum et d’un Seigneur qui n’est pas en colère.’ Ils répètent cela jusqu’à ce qu’elle sorte, puis elle est élevée au ciel, où les portes lui sont ouvertes, et on demande : ‘Qui est-ce ?’ Ils disent : ‘C’est untel.’ On dit : ‘Bienvenue à l’âme bonne qui était dans un bon corps. Entre louée et reçois la bonne nouvelle de la miséricorde, d’un parfum et d’un Seigneur qui n’est pas en colère.’ Cela se répète jusqu’à ce qu’elle soit amenée au ciel où se trouve Allah. Mais si c’est un homme mauvais, ils disent : ‘Sors, ô âme mauvaise qui était dans un mauvais corps. Sors blâmée et reçois l’annonce de l’eau bouillante et des supplices semblables.’ Ils répètent cela jusqu’à ce qu’elle sorte, puis elle est élevée au ciel, mais les portes ne s’ouvrent pas pour elle. On demande : ‘Qui est-ce ?’ On répond : ‘C’est untel.’ On dit : ‘Pas de bienvenue à l’âme mauvaise qui était dans un mauvais corps. Retourne blâmée, car les portes du ciel ne s’ouvriront pas pour toi.’ Alors elle est renvoyée sur terre, puis va dans la tombe.”

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:“Angels come to the dying person, and if the man was righteous, they say: ‘Come out, O good soul that was in a good body, come out praiseworthy and receive glad tidings of mercy and fragrance and a Lord Who is not angry.’ And this is repeated until it comes out, then it is taken up to heaven, and it is opened for it, and it is asked: ‘Who is this?’ They say: ‘So-and-so.’ It is said: ‘Welcome to the good soul that was in a good body. Enter praiseworthy and receive the glad tidings of mercy and fragrance and a Lord Who is not angry.’ And this is repeated until it is brought to the heaven above which is Allah. But if the man was evil, they say: ‘Come out O evil soul that was in an evil body. Come out blameworthy, and receive the tidings of boiling water and the discharge of dirty wounds,’ and other torments of similar kind, all together. And this is repeated until it comes out, then it is taken up to heaven and it is not opened for it. And it is asked: ‘Who is this?’ It is said: ‘So-and-so.’ And it is said: ‘No welcome to the evil soul that was in an evil body. Go back blameworthy, for the gates of heaven will not be opened to you.’ So it is sent back down from heaven, then it goes to the grave.”
