Sunan Ibn Majah, 4105

Rapporté par ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Aban bin ‘Uthman bin ‘Affan d’après son père : Zaid bin Thabit est sorti de chez Marwan en plein milieu de la journée. J’ai dit : « Il ne l’a pas fait sortir à cette heure que pour une question qu’il lui a posée. » Je l’ai donc interrogé, et il a dit : « Il m’a demandé au sujet de certaines choses que nous avons entendues du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) dire : “Celui qui ne pense qu’à ce monde, Allah embrouillera ses affaires et lui fera craindre sans cesse la pauvreté, et il n’obtiendra de ce monde que ce qui lui a été destiné. Celui qui se concentre sur l’Au-delà, Allah arrangera ses affaires, le rendra satisfait de son sort, et sa subsistance et ses biens viendront à lui sans aucun doute.” »

‘Abdur-Rahman bin Aban bin ‘Uthman bin ‘Affan narrated that his father said:“Zaid bin Thabit departed from Marwan at mid-day. I said: ‘He has not sent him out at this time of the day except for something he asked.’ So I asked him, and he said: ‘He asked me about some things we heard from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “Whoever is focused only on this world, Allah will confound his affairs and make him fear poverty constantly, and he will not get anything of this world except that which has been decreed for him. Whoever is focused on the Hereafter, Allah will settle his affairs for him and make him feel content with his lot, and his provision and worldly gains will undoubtedly come to him.”
