Sunan Ibn Majah, 3891

Rapporté par ‘Aishah : Si le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) voyait un nuage qui semblait apporter la pluie, la couleur de son visage changeait, il entrait et sortait, marchait de long en large. Puis, s’il pleuvait, il se sentait soulagé. ‘Aishah lui a parlé de ce qu’elle avait remarqué, et il a dit : « Comment sais-tu ? Peut-être que cela serait comme ce que le peuple de Hud a dit : “Puis, quand ils le virent comme un nuage épais venant vers leurs vallées, ils dirent : ‘Voici un nuage qui va nous apporter de la pluie !’ Non, c’est plutôt ce que vous cherchiez à hâter : un châtiment.” [46:] »

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:“If the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw a cloud that looked as if it was bringing rain, the color of his face would change, and he would go in and out and walk to and fro. Then, if it rained, he would feel relieved.” ‘Aishah mentioned to him what she had seen him do, and he said: “How do you know? Perhaps it would be as the people of Hud said: ‘Then, when they saw it as a dense cloud coming towards their valleys, they said: “This is a cloud bringing us rain!” Nay, but it is that (torment) which you were asking to be hastened.” [46:]
