Sunan Ibn Majah, 3208

Rapporté par ‘Adi bin Hatim : J’ai demandé au Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) : « Nous sommes des gens qui chassent avec ces chiens. » Il a dit : « Si tu envoies tes chiens dressés et que tu prononces le nom d’Allah sur eux, alors mange ce qu’ils attrapent, même s’ils le tuent, sauf si le chien en a mangé. Si le chien en a mangé, ne le mange pas, car je crains qu’il ne l’ait attrapé pour lui-même. Et si un autre chien s’en mêle, ne le mange pas. »

It was narrated that ‘Adi bin Hatim said:“I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): ‘We are people who hunt with these dogs.’ He said: ‘If you send out your trained dogs and mention the Name of Allah over them, then eat whatever they catch even if they kill it, unless the dog has eaten any of it. If the dog has eaten any of it then do not eat it, for I fear that it will have caught it for itself. And if another dog joins it, then do not eat it.’”
