Sunan Ibn Majah, 3116

Rapporté par Shaqiq : Un homme m’a confié des dirhams pour la Maison. Je suis entré dans la Maison et Shaibah était assis sur une chaise. Je lui ai remis l’argent et il m’a demandé : « Est-ce à toi ? » J’ai répondu : « Non, si c’était à moi, je ne te l’aurais pas donné. » Il a dit : « Puisque tu dis cela, ‘Umar était assis à l’endroit où tu es assis maintenant et il a dit : “Je ne sortirai pas avant d’avoir distribué la richesse des pauvres musulmans.” J’ai dit : “Tu ne feras pas cela.” Il a répondu : “Je le ferai certainement.” Il a demandé : “Pourquoi ?” J’ai dit : “Parce que le Prophète (ﷺ) et Abou Bakr savaient où elle était, et ils en avaient plus besoin que toi. Pourtant, ils ne l’ont pas déplacée.” Puis, il s’est levé tel qu’il était et il est sorti. »

It was narrated that Shaqiq said:“A man sent some Dirham through me to the House.” He said: “I entered the House and Shaibah was sitting on a chair. I handed it (the money) to him and he said: ‘Is this yours?’ I said: ‘No, if it were mine I would not have given it to you.’ He said: ‘Since you say that, ‘Umar was sitting in the place where you are sitting now and said: “I will not go out until I distribute the wealth of the poor Muslims.” I said: “You will not do that.” He said: “I will certainly do that.” He said: “Why is that?” I said: “Because, the Prophet (ﷺ) and Abu Bakr saw where it was, and they had more need of the money than you do. But, they did not move it. Then, he stood up just as he was and went out.”
