Sunan Ibn Majah, 3105

Rapporté par Ibn ‘Abbas : Dhu’aib Al-Khuza’i a raconté que le Prophète (ﷺ) lui confiait les animaux de sacrifice, puis il disait : « Si l’un d’eux devient inapte et que tu crains qu’il ne meure, alors sacrifie-le, trempe la sandale attachée à son cou dans son sang et pose-la sur son flanc, mais ni toi ni aucun de tes compagnons ne devez en manger. »

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that Dhu’aib Al-Khuza’i narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to send the sacrificial animals with him, then he would say:“If any of them becomes unfit and you are afraid that it will die, then slaughter it, dip the sandal (tied around its neck) in its blood and place it on its side, but neither you nor any of your companions should eat anything from it.”
