Sunan Ibn Majah, 28

Rapporté par Qarazah bin Ka'b : 'Umar bin Al-Khattab nous a envoyés à Koufa et il nous a accompagnés jusqu'à un endroit appelé Sirar. Il a dit : « Savez-vous pourquoi j'ai marché avec vous ? » Nous avons répondu : « À cause des droits du Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) et des droits des Ansar. » Il a dit : « Non, c'est plutôt parce que je voulais vous dire quelque chose. Je voulais que vous le reteniez grâce à ma marche avec vous. Vous allez vers des gens dans le cœur desquels le Coran bouillonne comme l'eau dans une marmite en cuivre. Quand ils vous verront, ils lèveront les yeux vers vous en disant : “Les compagnons de Muhammad !” Mais ne rapportez pas trop de récits du Messager d'Allah (ﷺ), sinon je serai votre complice. »

It was narrated that Qarazah bin Ka'b said:"Umar bin Al-Khattab sent us to Kufah, and he accompanied us as far as a place called Sirar. He said: 'Do you know why I walked with you?' We said: 'Because of the rights of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and because of the rights of the Ansar.' He said: 'No, rather it is because of words that I wanted to say to you. I wanted you to memorize it due to my walking with you. You are going to people in whose hearts the Qur'an bubbles like water in a copper cauldron. When they see you, they will look up at you, saying: "The Companions of Muhammad!" But do not recite many reports from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), then I will be your partner
