Sunan Ibn Majah, 190

Rapporté par Talhah bin Khirash : J'ai entendu Jabir bin 'Abdullah dire : « Quand 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Haram a été tué le jour de Uhud, le Messager d'Allah ﷺ m'a rencontré et a dit : “Ô Jabir, veux-tu que je te dise ce qu'Allah a dit à ton père ?” Yahya a dit dans son hadith : “Et il a dit : ‘Ô Jabir, pourquoi te vois-je si triste ?’ J'ai dit : ‘Ô Messager d'Allah, mon père a été martyrisé et il a laissé des enfants et des dettes.’ Il a dit : ‘Veux-tu que je t'annonce la bonne nouvelle de ce qu'Allah a réservé à ton père ?’ J'ai dit : ‘Oui, ô Messager d'Allah.’ Il a dit : ‘Allah n'a jamais parlé à personne sauf derrière un voile, mais Il a parlé directement à ton père, et Il a dit : “Ô Mon serviteur ! Demande-Moi ce que tu veux, Je te l'accorderai.” Il a dit : “Ô Seigneur, fais-moi revenir à la vie pour que je sois tué une seconde fois dans Ta voie.” Le Seigneur, Glorifié soit-Il, a dit : “J'ai déjà décrété qu'ils ne retourneront pas à la vie.” Il a dit : “Mon Seigneur, alors transmets cette nouvelle à ceux que j'ai laissés derrière moi.” Allah a dit : “Ne pense pas que ceux qui sont tués dans la voie d'Allah sont morts. Non, ils sont vivants, auprès de leur Seigneur, et ils reçoivent leur subsistance.” » »

(Talhah bin Khirash said:"I head Jabir bin 'Abdullah say" 'When 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin )Haram) was killed on the Day of Uhud, the Messenger of Allah met me, and said: "O Jabir, shall I not tell you what Allah has said to your father?" Yahya said in his Hadith: "And he said: 'O Jabir, why do I see you broken-hearted?' I (Jabir) said: 'O Messenger of Allah, my father has been martyred and he has left behind dependents and debts.' He said: 'Shall I not give you the glad tidings of that with which Allah met your father?' I said: 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'Allah never spoke to anyone except from behind a screen, but He spoke to your father directly, and He said: "O My slave! Ask something from Me and I shall give it to you." He said: "O Lord, bring me back to life so that I may be killed in Your cause a second time." The Lord, Glorified is He, said: "I have already decreed that they will not return to life." He said: "My Lord, then convey (this news) to those whom I have left behind."
