Sunan Ibn Majah, 1389

Rapporté par ‘Aishah : Une nuit, je n’ai pas trouvé le Prophète (ﷺ), alors je suis sortie à sa recherche. Je l’ai trouvé à Al-Baqi’, levant la tête vers le ciel. Il a dit : « Ô ‘Aishah, as-tu eu peur qu’Allah et Son Messager te fassent du tort ? » Elle a répondu : « Non, ce n’est pas cela, mais j’ai pensé que tu étais allé chez une autre de tes femmes. » Il a dit : « Allah descend, la nuit du milieu de Sha’ban, au ciel le plus bas, et Il pardonne plus que le nombre de poils sur les moutons de Banu Kalb. »

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:“I missed the Prophet (ﷺ) one night, so I went out looking for him. I found him at Al-Baqi’, raising his head towards the sky. He said: ‘O ‘Aishah, were you afraid that Allah and His Messenger would wrong you?’” She said: “I said: ‘No, it is not that, but I thought that you had gone to one of your other wives.’ He said: ‘Allah descends on the night of the middle of Sha’ban to the lowest heaven, and He forgives more than the numbers of hairs on the sheep of Banu Kalb.’”
