Sunan Ibn Majah, 1237

Rapporté par ‘Aishah رضي الله عنها : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) est tombé malade et certains de ses Compagnons sont venus lui rendre visite. Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a prié assis, et ils ont prié derrière lui debout. Il leur a fait signe de s’asseoir, et quand il a terminé, il a dit : “L’imam est là pour être suivi. Quand il s’incline, inclinez-vous ; quand il se relève, relevez-vous ; et s’il prie assis, priez assis.”

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) fell ill and some of his Companions came to visit him. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed prayer while sitting down, and they prayed behind him standing up. He gestured them to sit down, and when he finished he said: ‘The Imam is appointed to be followed. When he bows, then bow; when he stands up again, then stand up, and if he prays sitting down then pray sitting down.’”
