Sunan Ibn Majah, 1176

Rapporté par Ibn ‘Umar : Un homme lui a demandé : « Comment dois-je accomplir la prière du Witr ? » Il a répondu : « Fais le Witr avec une seule Rak’ah. » L’homme a dit : « J’ai peur que les gens disent que je raccourcis la prière. » Il a répondu : « La Sunna d’Allah et de Son Messager. » C’est-à-dire : « C’est la Sunna d’Allah et de Son Messager. »

A man asked Ibn ‘Umar:“How should I perform Witr?” He said: “Pray Witr with one Rak’ah.” He said: “I am afraid that the people will say that I am cutting the prayer short.” He said: “The Sunnah of Allah and His Messenger.” Meaning “This is the Sunnah of Allah and His Messenger.”
